Find helicopters on the live aircraft map.
Use the Helicopters filter to reduce the live map to aircraft identified as rotorcraft, then select a marker to inspect its available callsign, type, altitude and speed.
How to track helicopters
Open the preset view, move the map to your area and select any helicopter marker. The detail panel shows only fields supplied by the live data, so identity and route information may be incomplete.
Why a helicopter may be missing
A helicopter can be absent because of receiver coverage, blocked or unavailable telemetry, equipment, altitude or data age. The map is a view of visible signals, not a complete record of every flight.
Read movement in context
Low altitude, repeated turns or hovering-like movement can have many ordinary explanations, including training, police, medical, survey and utility work. The radar does not infer a mission from movement alone.
What to know before opening the radar
Does the map show every helicopter?+
No. It shows helicopters present in the live data available for the current map area.
Can I identify who operates a helicopter?+
Sometimes. Registration, type or operator fields appear only when that information is available.
